Water Awareness Day at the Monterey County Fair
The 3rd Annual Water Awareness Day at the Monterey County Fair was a rousing success. The popular event, co-sponsored by the Water Awareness Committee of Monterey County, Inc. and California American Water Company, featured the Water Adventure activity during which Fair-goers obtained a Passport upon entry to the Fair and visited participating Water Destination exhibitors to learn various water conservation strategies.
Exhibit topics included dual flush toilets, water-free urinals, high efficiency appliances, groundwater clean-up, water recycling, salt-free water conditioning, water-wise plantings, smart irrigation controllers, and atmospheric water colllection systems.
