Gardens Featured at Del Monte Center
New community water-wise
demonstration gardens were unveiled at Del
Monte Shopping Center on October 24, 2009 during a Water Awareness
Day event.
Local landscapers were asked to participate by providing design
plans for selection and installing landscapes to highlight the beauty
and versatility of drought tolerant and native plants.
The designs were judged by the Water Awareness Committee of Monterey
County Inc, and selected by the shopping center management. The gardens
are an example of how you can have a beautiful garden while conserving
water.
